Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Got married in Italy and we didn’t have wedding cake we had wedding Pizza and this is where it was from. Of all the pizzerias in all the world, we had Pizzeria da Rizieri. Not a fancy place but a place packed with locals and excellent pizza. They also have chickpea pizza. (Called cecina) no cheese or marinara. Love it. Curious I do not find it in more locations. Be prepared for a wait. No calling ahead allowed, but it will be worth it."
"Cecina in all of it's simplicity Is totally and utterly delicious here, and it isn't common to find in pizzeria's, many people come to eat a taglio and so cecina Is always fresh from the wood oven when it is optimal and gets consumed immediately. A true local family run pizzeria with main course options."
"Best Cecina at a very low price. For dinner the restaurant is more crowded and there is always the line to wait, but at lunch it is more chill and less people."
"Such a friendly people and my first ever cecina was unbelievable and unforgettable. Don't wanna eat it anywhere else. Fresh from the oven, crispy outside, soft inside and so delicious. I bought 2 slices and paid €2.20. Good deal. A place to return. Thank you."
"I was looking for a decent pizza restaurant in Viareggio, then I found this place, where comments said that the pizza is very nice. Well its true. We went around 8pm, and as we arrived we recognised that many people were local folk. So i thought, yeah this is a good sign. We had to que a bit and we were afraid we wont be able to sit, but they made a small table for us in 2 mins. Yesssss . Then the cool waitress came, explained the menu, so we ordered. While waiting, they brought us some bread and some chickpea flatbread (cant remember the name) but it was very tasty. Then the pizza came. Please note that this is not a Neapolitan style traditional pizza. Look at the photos. Thats how they look like. But the base is tasty, tomato sauce is amazing, cheese enough. As I recall they have only 4 variaties, Margherita, Napoli (anchovies and capers), Parma ham, and a different ham. We ordered the Margherita and Napoli ones. Both were super good, 6 slices were more than enough. Half half. We left with full belly and left some tip for the staff. Everyone said hi to us, they were nice people. Very nice pizza restaurant, highly recommended!"
"You choose how much slices you want and type od pizza.we took margarita and prosciutto. Both are soo delicious You should try it if you are in viareggio"
"Real local experience, cecci is amazing and the pizza is basic but perfect. They also have dining room with more food but haven't tried it yet, definitely worth visiting."
"We had cecina and pizza margherita. The cecina was really good. The pizza was good too but too salty. Be ready to wait a little, but the price is really good, we only paid 8 euros for 2 and had leftovers! Real authentic place of Viareggio, we were the only foreigners."
